Meaningful Stories

This mod by roBurky changes the way emotions work in the game. Basically, sims emotions are more accurately affected by their environments. For example, an angry sim wont suddenly become happy if they step into a clean house.

i literally cannot play without this mod installed! i always found the sims emotions to be so fickle and meaningless, but i really love the idea of emotions. this mod makes emotions 100x better!! the only thing is that my sims become mortified or enraged easily and im scared they are gonna die lmao. but thats more drama anyways so its fine!

if u get any mods it should be this one tbh...

MC Command Center

this mod is more of a utility mod but its seen as very essential for ur game. Other than the main features of story progression, cheats, controlling other sims, etc, i use it to change the lifespan of my sims!

its a little complicated so i suggest watching a tut that explains all the modules first

Pregnancy Overhaul

this mod makes pregnancy a bit more fun and engaging. I have a legacy save so i care a lot about family gameplay. if u are like me then you will probably like this mod. it adds actual things to do like buying stuff for the upcoming baby or arguing about paternity lmao.

when i first played sims i thought it was weird how meaningless (?) having a whole ass baby was. like wheres the flavor?? this mod adds it!

Sim National Bank

Also as more of a utility, this mod allows your sims to have personal bank accounts! its useful for managing money in a household. For example if a teen sim has a job so that their money goes to them, not their household! So useful.

I also have the bills extension which means i have to pay for bills in a more impactful way. Like, if I dont pay my light bill, i literally cant use any power. Its fun bc i love when my sims are poor and have no money. having too much money is lame!

Srsly's Complete Cooking Overhaul

ima be honest. i got no idea how to use this mod. but i havent uninstalled so it must be good??

ill be more specific. I know how to grocery shop, I know how to cook things for $0. But i just don't know how to use the mod fr. like, apparently when you open up groceries they are supposed to be going straight to my fridge? they literally stay in my inventory and i have to manually put each ingredient in the fridge. and the custom recipes scare me. im sure theres a way to figure it out but i dont know :(

Dynamic Teen Life

i dont even remember installing this but its in my game! and it works very well! it basically gives teens more things to do and be a part of. every teen is assigned a clique based on their traits, and they each have preferences over popularity. in conjunction with the high school years expansion pack its rlly fun! but its also super fun on its own!
