Im currently on the road back from North Carolina. I had a really good time and met distant relatives that Ill probably never see again but were overly hosptitable and nice.
North Carolina is basically an older looking version of my hometown. Ive seen abandoned buildings but also cute malls. And of course, its extremely car centric, so car centric that there are literally houses on the interstate. I wonder how those people ended up living right against a busy highway. What are their stories? I feel like I could make a character with that premise. Idk its interesting and a bit sad. Yk, this highway probably buried a bunch of people under it. If there are houses right next to the highway, there are probably houses under it too.
